sydney/ cape breton taxi or car hire recommendations

Can anyone recommend a taxi or car hire company in Sydney - preferably one with a minivan or van since we have a group of 4 adults and 2 infants? We are looking to get dropped off and picked up from a boat tour to bird island in Big Bras d'Or (tour operator says 40 minutes away from cruise port) and would prefer getting a driver over a car rental since it will save us some time on the way back to the ship.

 

For anyone who has been to the port in Sydney, are taxis and vans readily available at the port if we don't arrange in advance throughout the day? We would not need to leave until after 11pm. Thanks!

We used City Wide Taxi in Sydney. Met us as we exited the ship with sign. Kent was our driver. He was excellent. His van held 7 people; he took us to Louisbourg waited and then took us back to the ship. He even stopped twice so we could get coffee from Tim Hortons. I highly recommend him. We spoke directly to him before the trip.

 

We were on a Princess cruise which arrived at 1:00 pm. You can imagine the mad dash to get off. While there are taxis available all were gone by the time we got out. But, Kent was there waiting for us.

 

The cost for the taxi and admission was less that the ship's tour and we able to stay longer at the fort.
