Carrying on water/soft drinks

Can someone tell me how much water and soft drinks per person is allowed to be brought on board the ship? I know that you have to carry it on and can't check it. Thanks.

We put two 12 fridge packs of soda in a suitcase and carry on. Normally do not have an issue with this amount. We have never tried water but have seen people with a case of water.

Carnival's beverage policy states that each guest can bring one bottle of wine or champagne (750 ml or less) and up to 12 bottles and/or cans of soda or water (20 oz. or less). You must bring the beverages in your carry-on luggage. Once you go through security you will be directed to a table where security will check each bottle. If the seal is broken or they suspect a water bottle contains something other than water, they will confiscate it.

Last time I cruised I put the 12 pack of soda and a 6 pack of water in a duffel bag and checked it in. It was delivered to my room without any problems.

You are not suppose to check it with your luggage. You must carry it on.

Hmmm. if I am doing a b2b 7 days each, wonder if I"m allowed to bring 2 12 packs of sodas ?
