Yes, we were just there and Snorkleing wid Nevil seemed to be very popular and he was picking people up from the beach at the Boatyard and taking them out for $ 20/pp. He has a yellow boat and you can't miss him. Enjoy

Quick question for you, do they provide snorkleing gear? I am finding conflicting stories on if the gear is provided or if we have to bring our own.

Thanks for your help!

Just got back today. We spent a great day at the Boatyard! It was $12 per person for 2 chairs and umbrella, first drink, and use of the facilities. We got there early (9:30) and requested Neville immediately. We were on his first boat of the day (yellow glass bottom boat) and made it to the turtles before the other boats arrived with all the people. It was only $20 per person. After snorkeling with the turtles for awhile, he took us to 3 shipwrecks to snorkel with all the fish. On the way back to the beach, we all got a glass of his delicious slushy rum punch! We were out about an hour.

The rope swing at the Boatyard was really fun too!

The operator seems to have his fave operators and the trips run about 30 or 40 mins with lots of local rum thrown in. I would describe the snorkeling as very average and probably wouldn't go back just for the snorkeling. I have had much better snorkeling at Folkstone Beach which is a locals beach but has wrecks off it and a lot more turtles and a lot less stressed. There is a snorkel operator who works from the beach.

We will be at the Boatyard in Feb. Do you have to book Nevil in advance to swim with the turtels or just wait for him on the beach?

He'll be there! No need to book in advance. When you get on the beach, just ask one of the beach attendants for Neville. If possible, get to the Boatyard early, so you can be on his first run. The water is calmer and you'll have the turtles to yourself before the other boats get there!
