Hi, I will be cruising later this month and my cruise will make a stop in La Goullete, does anyone have and ideas or suggestions of things to do or see?

I went to Carthage

and then Sidi Bou Said

 

Due to the political situation then (2011) these were done on a ship's tour. If I had done things on my own I'd have passed on SBS and sought out more ruins, but it was still a very good day. All the best, Tony

We took the tram right by the dock to Carthage and Sidi bu Said. On another stop there we took the taxi to the Bardo Museum (fabulous mosaics)

We also took the ship tour, our one and only, just for safety sake.

We also did Carthage and Sidi Bou Said, but pre-booked on our own with Jamal through Tours By Locals. He was excellent! I would highly recommend it if you are not comfortable on your own, but don't want to go around with the herd from the ship.

It is called "Is Tunisia Safe" but really develops into what and how to see Tunisia. I will be going there in October. Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, The Bardo Museum and Tunis itself (especially the Medina) all sound interesting.
