Mels2013 Posted July 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2013 Hello everyone I've thoroughly enjoy reading all of your recommendations regarding excursions in Alaska, I find them very helpful. I've read that Harv and Marv as well as Orca Enterprises were highly regarded in terms of whale watching while at port in Juneau. I will be on the Norwegian Pearl at the end of this month with a group of 4 adults. We would all like to do the whale watching and mendenhall glacier. The ship will be at the port from 2 pm to 10 pm. My question is, has anyone tried the Combo Tour for Whale Watching and Mendenhall Glacer from the following? -Shore Trips (Cost per person = $144 with Check in at 2:45 pm) - Juneau Tours (Cost per person = $120 with Check in at 2:30 pm) I just wanted to know if anyone has had experience with either company (good or bad). Any advice would be appreciated. Best Regards, Mels
dustyroad Posted July 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2013 shoretrips is a middle man company that I would not pay extra for. I would call the whale tour co's at orcaenterprises.com or harv and marv and book with them. they have extended tours that either pick you up before the tour or drop you off there. have a great time.
