Lanyard

The (free) Casino lanyard is kind of ugly as it is designed to be extended really far so you can put your card in the slot machines while playing. It is a plastic clip with a coiled (colored) wire and a ring on the end to hold the card.

I would shell out and buy one; they are nice enough and should last a long time. The ones you buy you wear like a necklace and look good (for what they are; I wear lanyards enough at work).

For free or do you have to pay for it?

When & where in the casino do you get the free ones? Is it just when you first get on or throughout the cruise? Do I have to place a bet or play the slots to get one?

When the casino is open there are people walking around with them and a hole punch , or you can just ask at the clerk in the window . Available throughout the cruise .

Buy any lanyard you like. Wal-Mart, K Mart, Target, online etc., and take it with you. Make the statement you like. ;) Go to guest services and they will punch your card for you.

I keep all my ship's pins on mine. Getting heavier each cruise. :D

I bought mine from a medical/dickies/allegria store a few years ago and LOVE it. It has beautiful beads on it with a badge holder that is perfectly sized for my sign and sail card and ID. It also attaches via a very strong magnet. I have never had my card demagnetized while using this and I've used it the last 2 cruise. Mine looks similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Beaded-Badge-Holder-Lanyard-Breakaway/dp/B002WLNAGQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1373057133&sr=8-5&keywords=lanyards+with+badge+holder

p.s. I would not put your credit cards in here!!!!!!

Casinos onboard do not have lanyards. They will give you a plastic coil tether for your s&s card. Some people clip the end of the tether to make an ugly necklace.

Um, that is the exact definition of a lanyard...

There are many different types of lanyards.

I've used it for 12 cruises without a problem... and it's free.

You can find all different kinds of Lanyards in many stores now. I have one that has a pouch just big enough to hold my sign and sail card and I also put the copy of days activities in there so that I can keep track of when something might be happening that I want to participate in. I have been doing this for several cruises now and it really works well.

I also got mine on ebay and people were always asking us where we got them because they're the Carnival colors! They work great and the kids love them.

I know what you are talking about, and yes they are neat... I am not the seller... but.. item 330927665527

We always bring a couple from home with our favorite sports teams on them so people will see where were from....its a good conversation starter ;) Then as soon as we get onboard I take our cards to guest services to get the hole punched

I don't like the ones with the pouch. Like someone else said-too much trouble to fish out your card when you need it.

We bought a set from e-bay in different colors so we can match most any shirt we have on. Cheap and I love them. Get the hole punched in your card and attach.

those are nice. but I wouldnt use the plastic case. It would be a pain taking it out everytime you needed to use it.

I don't either, so I just replaced the pouch with a keyring. The pouch comes in handy in port though and at the beach.
