smileyjannie Posted July 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2013 Hello. Going on the above cruise and looking for some suggestions and have a couple questions. We are the mid 50 crowd. What are the "must do" excursions? My husband is looking to zip line, where would be the best place for that? We are also looking for suggestions for a lobster bake. We love lobster and would also take suggestions on the best and most reasonable places to have it. My DH loves clams as well, but maybe too late for those? This is all I can think of right now. I will post again later if I think of anything else. Thanks in advance.:)
Acey-SJ Posted July 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2013 In Saint John there is a lobster bake right across the street from the terminal at Steamer's Lobster Company. Also in Saint John is zip lining at reversing falls - google SAINT JOHN ADVENTURES ZIP LINING Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
Rare mizLORInj Posted July 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2013 There is good lobster at the place mentioned above in Saint John, as well as Britt's pub on a side street. You can rent a car at Avis right across the street from the port. Drive to St. Martins, and then keep going to the Fundy Trail. Or check out ship's excursions. Halifax has a lot to do right in town. There are many places along the waterfront that sell lobster. You can also rent a car here or do ship's tours to Peggy's Cove, etc. Both are nice ports, and I myself plan to have lobster both days we're in port! Cairnmom Posted July 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2013 I have heard Steamer's is very good. Didn't have a chance to try it last time, but plan to this week. Also, the Fundy Trail is absolutely beautiful!
