NCL Breakaway vs. RCCL Explorer for Feb Cruise with 10 year old

Any advice about choosing between these ships for a Feb cruise with a 10 year old girl? Also, thoughts generally on cruising from NY in February? I would prefer to not have to fly, but am a little nervous about weather, and having full access to all amenities (pools, etc.).

Thanks!

we where booked for the last year on Breakaway. I just cancelled and re-booked with RCCL for Explorer..we have done Explorer 2x's previous and we are cruising with a 9 and 6 yo boy...we did not feel comfortable with breakaway it has a pretty low satisfaction score and have read some pretty bad reviews , we are not a family that takes these reviews to heart but something told us to breakaway from NCL...plus we saved almost 1500$ with RCCL..no extra expense for resturants and evrything else...

We just got off the breakaway with our two kids ds11 and dd8. My 11 to had the most fabulous time. He loved the kids club, loved the ropes course and the slides and everything in between. Leaving from ny in winter means you have to have indoor things and I'm not sure if the breakaway will have enough options or indoor space for that matter. But overall, it was a great time on onboard
