kmmi45 Posted July 30, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2013 We're sailing on our first NCL cruise on Saturday. How do beach towels work on the Gem? Do you take the ones from your room or sign them out at the pool?
callmebetty Posted July 30, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2013 You can do either! They say if you lose one or do not return it, it is a $25 charge. Based on the amount of towels I saw scattered around the ship, I am not sure if they are enforcing it.
jaja Posted July 30, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2013 I think..not sure...if you use ones from room..you must bring it back...so steward can exchange..or you can exchange that one at pool ... idea is to always have correct # of towels in the room..so you are not charged.. bmwcmu Posted July 30, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2013 We were on the Pearl and it was kind of a mess with how they do the towels. We went to go get some and they told us we had to return two in order to get two more, but we never had any to begin with and they ask for your room number but don't check your card, so you could give them any random room. We got our towels, but it just seems like there has to be an easier way to do it.
computerworks Posted July 30, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 30, 2013 Current procedure is to start the cruise with the beach towels in your cabin...count to match the number of guests. You bring them to use at the pool, or onshore at the beach. You may swap wet for dry as often as you like, up on the pool deck. If they are not in your cabin when you first arrive, ask the room steward for them.
