QM2 Transatlantic B6 Cabins: How Obstructed Is Obstructed?

8042, 8054 and 8072?

Since it is going to be just waves and salt water anyway, is it really that important to have an unobstructed view by paying $400.00 more per cabin?

What is the likelihood to be upgraded complimentarily? ;)

Thanks in advance for any insight advice.

Crossed in 8062 and enjoyed it enormously - the main thing you use a balcony on a crossing for is the fresh air & there is nowt to see on the Atlantic - and on arrival in NY you'll want to be on deck - don't count on an upgrade & enjoy your cabin. 8 deck is also well located for Kings Court, Library & Commodore Club - I'd recommend it.

Good to know, thanks!

(Btw, we will be leaving from NY.)

Well you can have a lie in sailing into Southampton - not a lot to see - and if you are in Britannia first sitting - skip dinner there on the first night & go to Kings Court instead - first sitting misses almost all of the sail away from NY - enjoy! (But next time, go west - 25 hr days vs 23 hr days!)
