My husband seems to remember a battle near Colmar being mentioned in an episode of Band of Brothers. We were in Colmar on a driving trip we took of the Alsace and Champagne region and it was a beautiful town. We remember it as being the better part of a day's drive from Strasbourg. That entire region is a beautiful part of France.
