Train from Newark

Hello All -

 

I am sailing on the Celebrity Summit on August 25th to Bermuda. We return to Cape Liberty on September 1st. Can anyone tell me how much time it takes to disembark as I am trying to pick the right train from Newark (Penn Station) to Washington, D.C. There is a 12:15 train, should I pick something sooner, or stick with that one.

Keep in mind the following when choosing.

1. Sunday is an easy traffic day, however

I believe the port may start construction on the new terminal and parking during the summer according to cruise critic news.

Don't know if that could add extra minutes to debark and get luggage via the bus or not.

2. Newark Penn Station is not the greatest train station to hang out in, however there is a Hilton Hotel connected to the station via an enclosed bridge and a bag storage room at the station(don't know what fee is).

3. Give yourself time in case ship is late.
