Belize on New Years Day...

OK, so we are experienced cruisers but have never been to Belize.

 

Our cruise ship (NCL Dawn) will be at Belize City on Jan 1st. I'm sure we will be out late having fun, and have no intention of getting up and possibly off the ship until at the earliest 10:30 ship time (we dock at 8 am).

 

What would you do? We wouldn't mind an excursion and would love to get out and see the area, but you cant usually sleep in for excursions (unless you all know of some!). We are there until 5pm so we have plenty of time. Maybe we should just go to the beach (we'd like the easiest to get to, which seems to be an issue)? Something with too much physical exertion is out, due to the late night and drinking of the night before ;)
