Thanksgiving Day in Quebec City?

Just read on our roll call that we'll be in Quebec City on Thanksgiving Day, Oct. 14. Can anyone share how this is typically celebrated and what we can expect to be open and closed?

Restaurants & Shopping in general will be open.

 

Banks and Gov't offices along with many other businesses will be closed.

OP, your question has been answered, but I wanted to add a comment. While Thanksgiving is a special holiday in Canada, where we spend time with family, it is not celebrated quite the same way as in the US. I remember flying to California on (US) Thanksgiving one year, and we felt we landed in a ghosttown! The only restaurant open was Denny's and even Wal-Mart was closed. You'll find that in Canada, particularly in the tourist areas, that most places are open! Enjoy!
