I want to get my nail color that cute white that a lot of people are wearing, but I am wondering if anybody knows if the sea water will turn it yellowish????:(

I have had french tips and never had an issue. I know that that is not the whole nail but it is at least the tips.

If u have a Sally's by you they sell a clear polish that helps with yellowing nails

I know I have too, but don't they spray paint on the white tip with something like spray paint. I was wondering with it actually being polish would that be different???

My French manicure (fake nail tips) turned to a gummy mess!! My nails looked terrible by the end of the cruise! On another cruise I had them painted with opi polish in a design they turned out great and looked wonderful through the entire 10 day cruise!!

It's to put on top of the nail polish its prevents the white from turning yellow from the sun and salt water

The SUN can yellow the clearer polishes but it is also the sunscreen you use. If I use the spray on my legs and it hits my toes - the polish on the toes dulls, turns gummy, etc. but lotion sunscreen is fine applying to my toes --- my fingers are another story - if french manicure with either the painted tips or nail polish white with clear over either will turn a little 'yellowish' in the sun not the water - however in 7 days it's not so bad in 14 it's horrible! Also depends what type of manicure you get -- gel nails don't seem to yellow, silk do, acrylic not sure about and regular on your nails seems to turn yellowish also. But again, it depends HOW much sun I get - everybody is different - talk to the salon where you are going to get them done and they can help you decide.

Thanks everyone for the replys...Im thinking I really want the white, I have a couple of bottles of white...If they start to turn yellow I will just keep painting over them with a coat of clear to keep them looking nice. I will have an answer for everyone if nobody who ever had this color don't chime in......LOL
