Do any of the scuba excursions in belize that pick you up from the ship?

my husband gets sea sick:cool: I know that sounds crazy but he loves scuba diving so he likes to keep it to a minimum on small boats. so I was wondering if they pick you up from the ship? we will be on the Dream for Thanksgiving Thanks

Yes, they do, and they return you to the ship, too.

Last October we did the Carnival Turneffe Atoll 2 Tank Dive from the Carnival Legend. They do pick you up from the ship, but it is about a 40 minute small boat ride in open water to get to the dive shop by the Atoll and another 40 minute ride back to the ship. It was a fun ride, but a little rough so if he gets sea sick, take precautions like ginger or motion sickness pills.

The excursions offered by the cruise line will pick you up directly from the ship.

 

Independant excursions booked, will not...

If you book independantly, you will have to tender into the city (20 minutes each way) and then ride to your dive site.

 

Belize is definitely the one exception to the rule, where it is generally better to book through the cruiseline for any excursion involving boat transportation. (island beach breaks, snorkeling, fishing, scuba)

And you have to wait your "turn" to disembark. The ship's tours passengers have tender priority.
