We're going on this cruise from Harwich. Are there any luggage restrictions apart from the weight of an individual case? The booking confirmation says 20 kgs per person plus 7 kgs hand luggage but surely this relates to fly/cruises. Cant find anything on the web so hopefully someone who has done this or similar cruise from a UK port can enlighten us.

"On Cruises From The UK There are no luggage restrictions on cruises from the UK, as long as no one piece of luggage weighs more than 23kg. But please bear in mind that storage in your cabin is limited. Please note that if you've booked transfers with Leger Holidays for summer 2013, you can only take 1 item of hold luggage up to 20kg and 1 piece of hand luggage up to 5kg on the coach with you. From summer 2014, if you've booked transfers with Intercruises, you can only take 1 item of hold luggage up to 23kg and 1 piece of hand luggage up to 7kg on the coach with you."

 

 

you are not limited to 20 Kg for cruises from the UK. I sailed from Newcastle and had 2 cases(about 35Kg) per person. if you arrive at the port by car you will drop your bags prior to check-in I assume the are weighed after they are x-rayed. max 23Kg per case

 

Thomson put 20 KG on there paperwork/ticket as there system appears to be set up for fly cruises and not ex UK cruises
