Carnival Spa questions

Hello,

I have a few questions relating to the spa products and services.

I seem to recall there is no tax charged on the spa products and services, is this true? (It’s been a couple of years since my last cruise and my memory is fuzzy!) :o

Is there ever any deal/sale on the actual products on board? I know the ‘time to spa dot com’ website often has specials, but by the time the tax, shipping and duty (to Canada) is taken into consideration I’m thinking it’s cheaper to buy on the ship, and even better if there is a ‘sale’.

I also seem to recall there are sometimes treatment deals, ie a sampler massage (?) for a reduced cost during the cruise. Is this still true? Does anyone know if the deals are better on say port days, or earlier in the cruise versus later? I’m hoping to treat myself once or perhaps twice while on board and am trying to stretch my budget the farthest possible! :D

Thank you!
