bibbysnow Posted August 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2013 My husband and I are scheduled to cruise in a month and he may not be able to go. Would it be possible to change my cabinmate and if so what would the charge be? I can get a much quicker response here that from my PVP!
CoconutJD Posted August 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2013 What rate did you book under?
okgirl Posted August 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2013 It depends on which rate you booked under. Don't wait for your PVP, just call the 800# and talk to the 1st person that answers.
sjcruiser Posted August 28, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Call the main number and ask. I have been assigned different PVP's over the years, who mainly send emails, and I have never called them personally as it's just easier to call and speak to the first person who the call is connected to, and if I get conflicting information from the Carnival policies, I ask for a Supervisor. bibbysnow Posted August 28, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted August 28, 2013 I wrote to Carnival about the situation and then called while I was at lunch. Since she wasn't familiar with the casino offer that I booked she gave me another number to call. When I called the second number the woman said "no, there are no name changes on a casino offer". My email response from Carnival was that since it was "my" casino offer and I was still going on the cruise, I could change my cabinmate, with a $50 charge. She then game me the number and extension to call when and if I change it. People at Carnival give different answers. Thank you fellow cruise critic members!! cruizinisthebest Posted August 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Do you have the email confirmation that was sent to you when you booked? Or is the casino rate listed anywhere when you log into Carnival? The terms should be listed in either of those places. The $50 charge sounds about right. It applies to most of the rate types. Call and speak with someone at the toll-free#. If you get a different answer from the email reply, go straight to a supervisor as previously advised. Good luck! hannahsmomtoo Posted August 28, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Just to reaffirm for you - I booked under a similar offer and had a change... I paid $50 All they cared was that *I* ( the offer holder ) was sailing. :D
