The key is "for consumption in your cabin". There will be several reminders in the daily "Currents" newsletter about consuming your own adult beverages in public areas.

"ALCOHOL POLICY REMINDER

Oceania Cruises cordially requests that alcoholic beverages purchased ashore not be consumed in the public areas. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation."

Thanks. The point is, there would hardly be any need to publish such a warning if alcohol purchased ashore was not tolerated or was confiscated...

Oceania has many policies, dress, smoking, alcohol etc. They may enforce or not enforce at their wim however if you get stuck you can not feel put out.
