Poohthepig Posted August 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2013 We will be on a Oceania cruise very soon which ends at Piraeus port. We need to make our own way to Athens airport. Any advice would be most welcome. We fly out at 13.35 back to the UK.
kuldalai Posted August 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2013 Take a taxi for peace of mind. Taxis are plentiful and cheap in Athens.
LaCroisiereS'amuse Posted August 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2013 I have used stargroup.gr a couple of times, and have found them very reliable, with clean C class Mercedes each time, and courteous English speaking drivers. The price was €55 last time we used them in October 2011.... You can get a car for a little less but I found these guys to be very flexible and reliable. You can make the booking online, they make a provisional booking, you then pay via PayPal, and they then send you a confirmation voucher back. If you're going to be stuck in ATH airport for a few hours, then it's worth buying a lounge pass if you're not flying business.....the Swissport lounge is available for a reasonable rate & is located airside adjacent to the gates that BA use. Hope this helps :-) Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
