What are Auto tips, someone mentioned this on another post. I believed that p & o charge £3.50 per person per night for tips. Am I wrong ? Is there another way of doing tips or is Auto tips an extra ?

Apparently there is a £3.50 gratuitous charge per day added to your account. But you can have it removed from your account if you ask at reception. Thats if you prefer to tip the person that you feel as gone the extra mile.

Last year it was £3.10

£3.50 a day per person still seems fair. We tipped more than that when it was left up to yourself. Obviously the new system works better for the Staff or it wouldn't have been implemented. And we can't be the only people who beat ourselves up wondering if we have given enough or not. Auto-tipping removes that worry.

€3.50 a day is very reasonable, if you are on American ships you have to pay 15 dollars per person per day and you did not get the option to cancel it. they also add 12 to 15 percent onto every drink you buy in tips.
