Thanks for posting shots of your trip to Island. You did a great job of documenting your travels. I lived in Island over 20 years ago and loved it! It really looks as if things have changed since we left, I guess I need to go back for a visit.

According to our tour guide one of the big changes that has taken place in Iceland in the past couple of decades has been a shift in the population from the countryside to Reykjavik. Fewer people are staying on the farms in the outlying areas, opting instead to move to Reykjavik and its suburbs.

Mark,

 

When I was there word was that about 80% of the population was near Reykjavik or Keflavik. Soon there will be no farms left!

 

It looks as if you really enjoyed your tour.
