scubadawg Posted September 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Are taxis available at the pier? I have tried emailing a few companies to see if they would take us to Bonorong but havent heard back. I saw there is a double decker bus that would do a city tour and then go up Mt Wellington so might do that and try to find a taxi to Bonorong. Any thoughts from those who have been there? Don't want to rent a car because frankly not that comfortable driving on the left side! Thanks
Dancuboz Posted September 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Google "Wizzya there mini bus tours" in Hobart. I notice they have a daily trip to Bonorong. I have not used them but been to Hobart and it is easy to get around. The ship docks right near Salamanca Market. Hope this helps, Danny Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
KiwiFunCruiser Posted September 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2013 I would comfortably say that there would be a few cabs around especially when there is a cruise ship in town. There will be open tour people movers around as well as they will try and get extra pax for tours. I have never not seen a cab at any port I have been too. Bartering a decent fair is usually advised in these cases. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
