JasonV1 Posted September 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Assuming no "odd" customs issues/late arrival, and you can carry off, you can easily walk off before 7AM. Visit my thread with compasses for the Oasis (Aug. 2013); I include the debark info sheet: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1900109
janetz Posted September 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Carry off your own starts at 6:30. Earliest, without taking your luggage 7:30.
Artemis Posted September 5, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Hi, AussieTJ, we made a 9:20 AM flight off Allure Sunday. Here's what I posted in another thread: This past Sunday, September 1, we walked out of our Allure cabin at 7:25 and arrived at FLL via taxi at 8:00 AM. CC poster Daghis reported the same thing in his live thread from the Allure August 18 sailing. The only two lines we encountered were (1) port terminal customs--they were pretty well staffed up, though, and the moved folks through quickly, and (2) FLL security--they didn't seem well-staffed, and the line was pretty backed up and moving slowly. We're eligible for the premium security access line, so we had no problem; but without that benefit, I estimate we would've spent 30 minutes clearing security based on Daghis' report that he made it through security and was at his gate by 8:30 AM. ------- Of course, you know the deal: There's no guarantee. Stuff could happen. But most of the time, it all comes together just fine!
cruisinpips Posted September 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2013 When we debarked from Allure, we were off so early, that there were no taxis or transportation at the port yet. We got in the taxi line, then a guy pulled up with a van, and 8 of us got in the van, and were at the airport in 10 minutes. We were there so early, we had to wait a few minutes to check in, because it was prior to 3 hrs before the flight. You should have no problems. :D
AussieTJ Posted September 5, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Thanks a lot guys :) Have put my mind at ease a little we did have a 10:30 flight but of cause AA cancelled that flight and put us on the 9:30 one. This is the first time on the Allure and to Fort Lauderdale so we didn't know the area. Fingers and toes crossed that everything goes smoothly Thanks again
