Platinum to Diamond

Under the old rewards system, where did Diamond begin, based on the number of cruises you needed or number of days sailed? I cannot find the information on the Carnival site. Thanks for your help!!!!;)

There was no diamond under the old system. Platinum was the highest "tier", then you had (and still have) milestone cruises at 25, 50, etc.

Diamond never has been based on number of cruises. In it's short history, it has always been 200 days or more.

Thanks for the info. I knew there was a reason I could not remember, lol. It did not exist prior to VIFP!! Well, then, I have a long way to go!!! ;)

Yep - it kind of sucks. I feel like I've been Platinum FOREVER, but I'm so far from being Diamond it feels pointless to even shoot for it.

I know what you mean. Have been platinum for 10 cruises and still a long way to go to diamond.

Right there with you. 20 cruises but 117 days. Even if I did manage to do a 7 day and 4 day every year, it'll still take me 8 years to get there! And by then I'm sure it'll change again and be even further out of reach. But it's not like the benefits are much better, anyway.

I agree, they should have left it like it was or limit the way 3-day cruise would count.
