Publius1787 Posted September 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2013 On our upcoming cruise on the Elation one person traveling with us, in a different cabin, will not be able to make the trip. We figured it's better to not cancel because her cabin mate would have to pay full price, but we are not sure what will happen to the OBC they have from FCC and price drops. Will the person that will be crusing be able to use the full OBC? It's close to $200 so we hope they don't lose it if possible. Thanks for any advice! Carnival_Brides Posted September 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2013 We had this happen (only with 4 people) in January. The first or second day of the cruise you should receive notices about the OBC--even the person who didn't board will get them. If the OBC doesn't show up on the cruising person's account, take the notices to Guest Services and they will sort it out for you. Guest Services had to call Miami to verify the OBC and it took a day to get it sorted, but it amounted to nearly $700 for us. The notices should look like this... okgirl Posted September 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2013 I'm guessing that the OBC for the FCC will still be given, but any OBC due to price drops will be cut in half because the price drops are based on a per person fare and the 2nd person is forfeiting 100% of their fare including the associated price drop.
