The price you paid for the cruise has nothing whatsoever to do with the promotion. Just ask for it. You do not have to rebook to get it.

Thanks to CC and all of you for making us aware of this promo.

We were booked on the Royal for its April 2014 TA. We had booked a Caribe mid-aft interior cabin. We called up and they simply re-fared the booking, reducing it by $350 pp, and they even switched us to an Emerald midship cabin, which is our preferred location. Our FCC, and the OBCs for it, remained in place. So we got a slightly better cabin location, plus all the perks of this promo, for $700 less. Yay!

Just curious why you like Emerald better than Caribe. I've never been on the Emerald deck.

Thanks!

In an inside cabin midship Emerald is better because it's deck 8 and very stair walkable to where the action is. Caribe might make them use the elevator. ;)

Pia's answer in Post #28 nailed the answer perfectly. Although, unfortunately, on the Royal there isn't a center staircase, so it's not quite as convenient as on the other ships. Still, we prefer stairs to elevators and Emerald deck gets us down to MDR, IC, trivia, etc. without needing elevators.
