We just got our guarantee assignment for a 21 day Med cruise this Saturday. I don't have a good feeling about this assigment since it is next to an elevator, and I am very concerned about noise all night long. Didn't have much choice when I booked, so took a guarantee. Would appreciate any info anyone might have. Thanks.

This particular cabin has been discussed - do a search "A712" on this site or a general internet search. Vast majority say it's a good location with no noise from the elevators - just door slamming which you can hear anywhere. They also say it's great to be right near the stairs and elevator for convenience.

The lifts are very quiet and efficient--you should have no problem at all. They have hardly any use at all after 10:30--11:00.

You're directly behind the elevator shaft and depending on the seas, might hear some banging. Otherwise, it's a good location and convenient to the elevators and stairs.

 

If there's another cabin available in the same category, you can ask to be moved.

When I checked this morning, the website is showing nothing available, so I guess I will have to make do. I am a light sleeper, so we will see; praying for calm seas. Normally I do not book guarantees, and most likely will not in the future. Thanks to all for a quick reply.
