Accessible cabins qe

Hi there fellow Cunarders, just wanted some information. We booked a guarantee balcony for an upcoming trip on the QE. We have just been notified we have been allocated cabin 4103 which is a wheelchair access cabin, even though we are both able bodied. I have found some pics of this cabin on the web and it appeared there is only one chair and it seems no settee. Can anyone confirm that this is the case, and whether we could request at least a further chair for the room. Many thanks

We have always book access cabins for the past 3 years, these cabins are half as big again as the other cabins, often bigger than top grades.

 

If you need an extra chair they will bring you one, drawbacks are if your not disabled are the lack of storage space in the bathroom and things like the safe are very low and the wardrobe will have the hanger lower and it will drop down.

 

these cabins are amazing if you have a balcony, we often have balcony parties with 10/15 people on them.

 

your may need some proof that you need an access cabin if you booking one but if your allocated one thats a bonus,

Thanks for the info rob6852. We are happy with the allocation, as you said it is a larger than average cabin. I don't know why we have been allocated this as we are both able bodied but maybe there are less disabled passengers on this trip and therefore it is 'spare'. My only worry now is they will change thir mind and allocate us something else....we have 12 days to go.....
