We're taking our first cruise on the Splendor next month and I have a couple of questions about the pools...

 

Are they strict on the opening and closing hours?

 

Are flotation devices and/or toys allowed?

Yes, they are.

Water wings, yes, I think. Toys, no.

Yes, serious about the hours, they put nets over them when they're closed. No large floatation devices are allowed, but I have seen little kids with water wings and very small vests in the pools, nothing any larger tho.

Soo true! They are mostly to cool off and get wet, not much room for swimming;)

Not sure if you are asking about kids, so please know that children who wear diapers and/or swim diapers are not allowed in the pools nor in the hot tubs.

If you have young kids, there is a small splash zone for little kids on the splendor, a deck above the main pool area. Not sure if that is something you would be interested in. It's not big, but it's there

pool hours: Children's pool 8am-6pm

Fwd Pool: 8am-10pm

Aft Pool: 8am-12am

Whirlpools: 8am-10pm

Serenity Whirlpool: 8am-10pm

Carnival Twister Slide: 9am-6pm

Exactly. A handful of kids using toys would fill them up! I did pick up a couple of cheap inflatable noodles for when I'm at the beach. I like to be able to float in the ocean and relax without having to rent a mat.

And in case you are not aware, the swimming pools are saltwater.
