myheart53 Posted September 26, 2013 #26 Share Posted September 26, 2013 You might want to contact the Hyatt Place Convention Centre and ask them about the cruise rate, it's just around the corner from the Embassy Suites. Nope, they are booked too!

myheart53 Posted September 26, 2013 #28 Share Posted September 26, 2013 Renaissance, Extended Stay, and Holiday Inn Express are all on the same street. Nearby are Comfort Suites and Crown Plaza. Thank you for the recommendations. I have check a few of them out and for the most part, they charge too much to park the car for 14 days. I will look at the others and see what they have to offer. If we park in a parking lot and pay those rates, then the hotel will have to be less expensive. I have checked out the Extended Stay and they do have a park and cruise package that is not too bad. wallie5446 Posted September 26, 2013 #29 Share Posted September 26, 2013 We stayed at the Marriott Springhill Suite property last Nov. They picked us up at FLL, shuttled us to area resturant, breakfast in the morning. Then for $10 pp took us to the ship.

moni Posted September 28, 2013 #31 Share Posted September 28, 2013 We were interested in staying at Embassy Suites but they are booked for the date we needed. :( We also have to park our car for the 14 day cruise so we are looking for a cruise n park package that won't cost an arm and a leg:D Try Stay123.com. We got a real good deal for our stay in Dec.
FlaGrl4Evr Posted September 28, 2013 #32 Share Posted September 28, 2013 The flight cost out of FL following our cruise is outrageous so decided to stay a day or two. Please recomend a clean cost efficient hotel that is close to airport w/shuttle and a few blocks to a few restaurnats. Thank you in advance!!!! Hello fellow Hoosier- From Anderson, IN As RoyalCruz mentioned in one of the above posts, the Sleep Inn & Suites was a good value for us. We cruised last April right after Easter week, and the hotel rates were super high. We needed two rooms and wanted a hotel that was within walking distance of shopping and restuaruants as we were not renting a car. The hotel was clean, offered a decent hot breakfast, nice pool area, and a complimentry airport shuttle. Each room has a mini-fridge and a microwave plus a safe. The rooms also have flatscreen TV's, which was nice. http://www.sleepinn.com/hotel-dania-florida-FL664 There is a Publix shopping center across the street. Also in the center are three restaurants: Mexican(Pancho's--discount if you show your hotel room key), and Italian restaurant and a Chinese place( more of a take-out but the restaurant did have a few tables.) Publix also offers a nice selection of deli items for back to the room or for by the pool. There is also a Dollar Tree and a hair/nail salon as well. There is a 24 hr Walgreens adjacent to the hotel parking lot. Just a tip- they do not sell wine or beer, so if you are wanting any Publix will be the place to go. The hotel is under new Mgt and the owner is visable and you can tell that he is taking pride in every aspect of the establishment. We had a great stay and the rate was pretty good considering the season. If you have AAA, AARP or a Govt or Military ID, you can get quite a discount. We booked very early and got a good deal on the rooms using our AAA. The owner told us that the beach was one mile from the hotel and sidewalk the entire way. We did not walk it, but thought that I would mention it for those that are up to it. :) .
