Pre theatre restaurant - Melbourne

I have booked for King Kong for our overnight stop in Melbourne and am looking for restaurant suggestions in the area around the Regent theatre or within 10 - 15 mins walking distance of it. Happy to BYO but licensed is OK, prefer lighter and varied dishes before sitting in a theatre for a few hours and need service geared to making the theatre on time.

Florentino Bistro on Bourke Street, or Empress of China in Little Bourke Street are both great . just book and tell them the time you need to be out by .

Taxi at Federation Square is one of our favorites. Just tell them where you are going and they will pace the meal and have you out on time. Great view and great vibe.
