Sunshine aft view vs premium balcony

We are considering a Sunshine cruise next August and I have a question (or two) about the rooms. Have any of you stayed in either aft view balcony or premium balcony? I am looking at aft balcony room #8330 or premium balcony room #6336 (which seems to have a rather interesting shape).

Is one room better than the other?

Just curious. Thanks.

8330 & 8335 are primo balconies adjacent to wraps. They are about 18ft long and normal extended depth. Only on Deck 8.

We are booked into 8335 for the Repro Cruise April 6th. We always book aft extended, wraps or Vista Rooms.

I have pic of the back of the ship. Will e-mail to you if I get your e-mail.

I was in an aft balcony back when it was Destiny, and for the time of year you are sailing, I would say get a balcony on the side. We went in Sept and it was too warm and there is no breeze in the back of the ship which contributed to the heat. The side would feel cooler as you would have the wind all the time which should cool it down a little.

On the Sunshine those 2 rooms are ext. aft balconies. Tha balconies are not overly long but have extended depth. It'll come with a chair, table and lounger. You are right below the Havana bar in that room so I'm not sure about noise??

The other room is an L-shaped room on Deck 6 (6336) with long but not deep balcony.

I was in an ext. aft this summer (Deck 6) and would book it again without hesitation. I think the extra depth adds a lot and the are views better than a side balcony (IMO).

Awesome! Thanks so much for the feedback. We had a cove balcony on our recent Breeze cruise and truth be told, I wouldn't mind another cove balcony but since the Sunshine doesn't have them I figured that the premiums wouldn't be so bad :)

Just back from a 12 night out of Venice on 9/8

We had cabin 6336 and loved it , plenty of closet space for storage

And the balcony was huge (2x the length of a reg balcony )

It as located in a good spot for access to everything

Other than liquid lounge..

Best part is that it is a cat 8A so you are getting a lot more bang

For your buck ... Only complaint is the bed is up against the windows

Instead of against the wall and looking out the windows.. 2 big windows at

That ...it also has a sofa which many L shaped cabs on other ships

Do not ....loved it and booked a similar cabin

On Splendor for a dec cruise..

Have a great time !!

AWESOME! Thanks so much for this information. We're (now) looking for a family cruise on the Sunshine and DH has already claimed his "cabin 6336" .LOL

Thanks for this thread. I have a Premium balcony reserved for 24 hours on the Liberty...going to Aruba, etc. Next October. I have to make up my mind and put my money down......and I think I have. thanks to this thread.

So...it will have an extended balcony ( it is on the side..close to the back elevators) and the size of the cabin is the same as a regular baloncy?

We had a Cove on the Breeze. My DH sat out there more than he has on any cruise in a long time. The privacy. but he still was able to talk SEC football with the Guy next door.Best of both worlds. We were impressed. Big fans of Coves now.

And it was close to everything. One Deck up.....MDR. and Main Dest. 2 Decks up Casino. Ocean Plaza with Trivia and such. Nice Breakfast area. (continental) Never crowded.

to get off the ship..............one deck up..............I really enjoyed that and I had not even thought of that. We used to book O/V all the time, and were on the Main Deck. but then we got into balconies....I am rethinking that. We are booked on the Freedom this spring with my Daughter and her family, and I booked us all into OceanViews..Main Deck. midship. She has a 3 year old who can climb like a monkey. No balconies near her.

Still hoping to see pics of Sunshine aft extended balconies. Not the wraps but the center cabins. First time in aft coming up.
