SteelerCruiser Posted October 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Hello! We are going to Belize again on and upcoming cruise. Not our Favorite port but hey it is vacation! We would really love to go do a beach on our own. One that is clean and safe and nice sand and water. We know that the beaches here aren't the typical Caribbean beach like other stops. We have done Caye Caulker before on our last trip there and it was okay but would rather not go back there again. If possible names and info on beach as well as prices to get there. Thanks so much!!! overthehillcruiser Posted October 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Bannister Island is your best choice IMO as it has facilities, whereas the snorkel beach tours do not. We enjoyed it. screen shot image upload uploading images
Rare crewsweeper Posted October 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Steelercruiser. Overthehill's suggestion of Bannister Island is a good one assuming it's offered on your ship. As you may recall from prior visits, there's nothing near the tender pier. Old Belize City has a man made beach, Cucumber Beach, about 20 minutes by taxi from the tender pier. Google Old Belize City for details. And some folks recently went to one of the local hotels (Princess or Radisson) and did an A.I. but it was all pool side, no beach. SteelerCruiser Posted October 10, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted October 10, 2013 thank you the responses so far...What about Goff's Caye? Any feedback from that one? Not looking for a large amount of facilities.
