Host Kewlguy Posted July 12, 2005 Author #226 Share Posted July 12, 2005 On my cruise last October on the Horizon, I had over heard that there were 35 children on board. All were well behaved and we had a wonderful cruise.
Cruisemom39 Posted July 12, 2005 #227 Share Posted July 12, 2005 That's part of the problem. The pizza, burgers and fries should be in the Windjammer and NOT the Solarium. We witnessed many children coming in for the pizza, spotting the Jacuzzi's, and within minutes climbing into them. Had the pizza not been in the Solarium there would be no reason for children to even be there. After the first day the only place to get the pizza and burgers were in the Solarium so the workers obviously directed the children there. Also the only place to get this food late at night is the Solarium as the Windjammer is closed. That explains us finding the Solarium packed with wild out of control children at midnight-1 am with no "pool attendants" in sight. You are absolutely right - they should have this stuff in the Windjammer. I was wondering why they chose the Solarium, as it obviously invites trouble. Tra4 Posted July 12, 2005 #228 Share Posted July 12, 2005 We have done a 12 day Vancouver to Hawaii cruise with only 33 children, 2 of which were mine. It was in Oct. and yes, they did miss one week of private (uniform) school. They loved it! We also cruised summer with over 800 kids and our kids did not enjoy it as much. Kids need to behave and be controlled on a cruiseship as much as adults do!! No one likes to cruise with other passengers who are rude, immature, and don't follow rules, regardless of age. Parents, yes watch your kids, adults?? well, we all hope someone responsible is watching you. If we all follow the rules, it would be a perfect world and a perfect cruise. Unfortunately, it is not a perfect world!!
Babs66 Posted July 12, 2005 #229 Share Posted July 12, 2005 What are young children doing in a jacuzzi. I know we have a hot tub and it is dangerous for young children to be in it because of the temperature, that alone should have alarmed employees. Some just simply don't follow rules. And the jacuzzi police cannot be everywhere. Really, it would be a wonderful world if everyone followed the rules!! Then there would be no chair hogs either. ;-)
