JVNYC Posted October 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2013 I have been exploring the new Viking itineraries and I have never sailed in the winter in the Mediterranean. I'm all for off season but this is quite off season! Has anyone sailed in Jan/Feb/Mar in the Med? Just doesn't seem that appealing...but the itineraries are great and of course the ship looks fantastic. Not sure I want to be cold or get wet every day! Thoughts? Thanks! Rare Azulann Posted October 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2013 I saw the itinerary for the winter months. The ports in Northern Africa I think would not be too cold. I always wanted to go to Tunis.
dln929 Posted January 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2014 My daughter lives in Florence, Italy and today she sent me a text saying how nice the weather is, almost spring-like. Wow. It's not that way in Indiana! It got me thinking to what it would be like to cruise the Med in the winter so I looked up the Viking Oceans itinerary that leaves two years from today, 1/17/16. I looked up today's weather for each of the ports. I don't know what you consider "cold" but this weather doesn't seem too bad to me!!
