Outer Mole Shuttle question...

So, we are talking about hitting Blue Heaven for breakfast since we dock at 7:30 am. I'm hearing that we cannot just walk out from the Outer Mole, correct? Because of Military security, etc. we would need to take the shuttle.

 

My question is, will the shuttle drop us off when we are just outside of the military area, (which appears to be not too far from Blue Heaven) or will we need to take the shuttle all the way to Front Street and then back track?

You are correct that you must be transported outside of the USN property.

 

As far as the second question, it really depends on the shuttle driver. Some will stop just outside the installation and allow persons to get on/off while others will only allow passengers on and off at each destination.

 

I would ask the driver when boarding if he/she would be so kind to let you get off after you leave military property for the reason you state.
