When will we go through customs?

:) This is my first post so hope I am doing this correctly. We will be going on HAL Westerdam to Baltics July 30 and looking forward to it. We fly from Florida to Michigan to Amsterdam to Copenhagen. Can anyone tell me from that itinerary when we will go through customs? I am worrying about lost luggage and wondering when I will first have the opportunity to see it after I leave here.
