Which one is better to book?

Has anyone booked either excursion in Belize?

 

Outside company with experiencebelizetours called "Altun Ha Belize Mayan Ruin"

 

Or

 

Book with Carnival the same tour called "Altun Ha & Belize City Tour"

 

Which in is better/safer?

 

Any input would help me out on decision to which excursion to book with.

Check out booking thru ShoreTrips, Have used them for 8 years on cruises with no problems.

We booked our one and only ship excursion EVER in Belize to the ruins (we did Xunantunich). The price savings for the private companies didn't outweigh the risk based on how far the ruins are from the ship. Not sure if Altun Ha is closer distance from the port though. Normally we go for 'cheaper is better'...but were glad we had peace of mind. Well worth the extra $5-$10.
