sloper12 Posted October 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2013 This will be our first time in Tortola and it seems that most people go to the Baths. We are debating going to the Baths or doing some snorkeling. Wondering about Norman Island caves and the Indians. I'm having a hard time finding tour operators who do snorkel tours to Norman Island/Indians. Any info and insight would be appreciated.
crisp1 Posted October 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2013 We did the Indians/ caves and Norman island on the Mystique this past Spring and had a great day. Aristocat also does this excursion and depending on what day of the week you'll be in Tortola White Squall II also goes there. You can also check with Karalu. A google search for day sails Tortola should provide all of this along with websites and contact info
blue_water Posted October 29, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2013 The operators crisp1 recommended are all excellent, Aristocat will probably be your best option. Also look at Patouche. Many of these daysails alternate between the eastern area with Norman, Cooper, and the Indians and the western area with JVD and Sandy Spit. DiveBVI out of VG also has great dive and snorkel excursions. Off-the-beach snorkeling options also include Brewers Bay and Smuggler's Cove on Tortola, here's a description of most of the beaches... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1877491 Enjoy!
