Rare Keith1010 Posted October 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2013 Since the area will be set up for the race it will be more difficult to get around by car/taxi. As we just walk the area we didn't have any problems. Keith
frenchrci Posted November 1, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2013 It's not possible to drive into Monaco during the GP. One week before, there are some streets which are closed but it's not very difficult to circulate. You can drive on streets with "bumps" on the sides, original ! Rare John Bull Posted November 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2013 Actually, a very good time to visit, especially if you have at least a passing interest in motor-racing.:) It's nigh-on impossible to figure the circuit from maps or watching the race on TV. But the circuit will be set-up by then with the Arnco barriers & the pits & such. We were able to walk the course , it's a pretty short lap, and took in sights such as the casino & harbour as we walked it. Just the odd minor deviation & beware of ending up on a sidewalk with its exit blocked. Other than the actual circuit, traffic is pretty-well unaffected - as is traffic to & around the Palace & museum & such, high on the hill overlooking the town. We took the train in from Villefranche, all very quick & easy. JB :)
