FTTF - how early can we board? (Galveston)

After the ship is cleared for boarding the wedding parties are first, Platinum/Diamond and then FTTF should be called. You will board before any of the "zones" are called.

so, what time should we get to the terminal? 10:00? 10:30?

Last year, without FTTF, I got to the port at 11:30 and was eating lunch onboard at 11:55.

 

This year we have FTTF and I'm going to try to get there around 10:30 and see if we can get on any earlier.

In March we got there by 10am and were lucky to have a seat in the FTTF section. We boarded at 11am. That 1 hr wait flew by because everyone is excited!

Make sure when you get there you don't get in the line outside. Go to the door and show your paperwork and they let you right in.

Which ship Magic or Triumph? On a good Sunday Magic starts boarding around 11am we usually get there around 1000-1015. Triumph starts boarding around 1130am. Those times are if all goes right debarkation isn't held up by anything, USCG inspection or full crew immigration isn't happening.

We had it on our last cruise and got to terminal by 10:00 and started boarding by 11:20am.

With FTTF in Sept of this year we were on board at 11:15. There was a delay because of a bad storm and they had to remove ramp. Otherwise we would have been on at least 15 mins earlier. Our timing was perfect on that trip. We got off the shuttle from the parking lot and didn't wait anywhere. Walked right to our room, dropped the stuff and went to the Italian restaurant for lunch. The place was empty and the food was wonderful.
