Portable Phones in Epic Suite?

I am concerned about keeping tabs on the kids on such a large ship. I know there is a portable phone in the cabin- just wondering if I could ask for a second one so they could contact me if needed when not in the cabin.

There were portable phones in suites on both the Gem and the Breakaway. I'm sure they are also on the Epic. The best way to utilize the phone is for you to carry the phone and have your children phone your cabin number from any house phone. The portable will ring anywhere on the ship and should you miss the call, it will go to your room's voice mail for you to retrieve.

On the Breakaway, we also used the iConcierge system. Our daughter brought her iPod touch and we used the chat system. Worked fine. Not sure of the ages of your kids, but that could work as well. Epic and Breakaway are the only ships with the iConcierge system so far.

Enjoy your cruise!
