Wifi Port list?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum...

 

But is there some sort of master list anywhere comprised of locations at ports that offer wifi (free or cybercafes)?

 

If not...this could be a great idea :)

We've experienced there to be several at the port or near the ports. Most ask that you buy something (coffee, beer, soda, etc) and they will give you the password to their wifi.

 

We've recently been to Gran Cayman, Cozumel, and Key West, many places had signs offering wifi. I'm sure they use it to increase customer flow.

I dont know of any master list, but Im sure if you post on here which ports you are going to someone can tell you where (if) there is free wifi somewhere.

I'm headed on an Eastern cruise, so...

 

-San Juan, PR

-Half Moon Cay (I'm guessing no because this is a private port?)

-St. Thomas, USVI

-Grand Turk

 

and of course, if no one is aware of any places at these locations, I'll be keeping my eyes open.

Don't sweat it. There will be free wifi at ST & SJ. You are probably right about HMC. Grand Turk may be the same, but Margaritaville may have something for you.

 

Google Starbucks and/or free wifi at the port cities, they'll have free wifi.

In Cozumel, Margaritaville and Fat Tuesday's both have wifi. I think we had to ask for a password at Fat Tuesday's.

Here is a site that lists free wifi in the 50 states, and then scroll down and find them in Mexico, the Caribbean, etc. I used it last year to find free wifi in Australia! Of course, just about anywhere you find a McDonalds you've found wifi for the price of a cup of coffee. Enjoy.

I second. The crew will know. They have limited funds and time, so have to maximize both.

If you have an iPhone or iPad there is a "Free Wifi Finder" app, which is free itself. It will give you addresses and maps to free places and you can download their database so you do not have to connect to the internet to find them. There might be a similar android app but I have not checked.

In Nassau I think there is Wifi right in the yellow building you walk through. And there is also a McDonald's there that offers it.

Don't forget to check out the PORTS section on the cruisecritic site. The overview for each port will give you suggestions for free or low cost internet.

The BEST people on the ship to ask is those that work in the gift shops. They can leave the ship in every port (unlike cabin stewards, etc) because they can.

 

I ALWAYS ask them, and I always get great information.....

You can try cruiseportinsider dot com but sadly they do not list all your stops but it should help you some.
