Rare Silent Penguin Posted November 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Fantastic. We are sailing on the Pride. The menu sounds much better than what we had on the NCL Pearl the last time we sailed over Thanksgiving.
girlscruise2011 Posted November 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2013 I sailed on 2 Thanksgiving cruises on Carnival. The 1st on the Imagination we ate in the dining room. Their turkey is not the same as what we eat. My family didn't enjoy it. Last year on the Liberty, we ate at the Buffet. There they had real turkey being carved. I enjoyed that meal so much better. Just my opinion. I didn't have to cook all day and clean all night so I was happy. I enjoy sailing over Thanksgiving and am actually missing not going this year. Enjoy your cruises and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Most horrid stuff I ever had at sea, till I tried it on Royal Caribbean. Now I give the award to them.

The closest thing to a "Turkey Dinner" on the menu was the Turkey Farfalle. This sounds like a pretty good menu! tonit964 Posted November 14, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 14, 2013 In the MDR they serve pressed turkey stuff, not good at all IMHO. In the buffet, they serve real carved turkey.
CruiseAwesome Posted November 14, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 14, 2013 We are sailing in 10 days, pretty excited! I think we might sneak some turkey from Lido into the MDR. :)

arush5268d Posted November 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 14, 2013 I've had Thanksgiving on a Carnival cruise before. It was the worst meal of the entire cruise. No, I'm not tryin to bash Carnival. But the whole meal was just nasty.
sjn911 Posted November 14, 2013 #15 Share Posted November 14, 2013 The new menu sounds great...I would have real turkey something at lunch and try several entrees at dinner with friends..so safe fro the pressed stuff...I bet they are really putting on a nice dinner...they are on their way back up after issues..I have faith...Have a GREAT TIME EVERYONE!!! would love to get my family on a holiday cruise..Sarah

TikkiTembo Posted November 14, 2013 #18 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Does anyone know if this is really the menu? This is was what John Heald posted on his Facebook page. I'm wondering will they still have the Every Day menu as well. That's the one from which my 15 y.o. usually eats. If not, I guess she will have to get pizza or something else from the Lido. She loves getting dressed to go to the MDR but is a boring eater.
cruise_gal21 Posted November 14, 2013 #19 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Huh? Thanksgiving was a month ago! In the United States we celebrate Thanksgiving usually on the last Thursday of November. I say "usually" because it can fall anywhere between the 22nd-30th, and if it falls on the 22nd or 23rd then it is not the last Thursday in November. I'm having filet mignon for Thanksgiving dinner, and a Guy's burger for lunch. Best Thanksgiving meals ever, can't wait!!
