Sandy Beach Hotel-Candado area

Will be staying at Sandy Beach 1 night pre cruise. Aside from the beach, are there things to see/do within walking distance to the hotel?

Will be staying at Sandy Beach 1 night pre cruise. Aside from the beach, are there things to see/do within walking distance to the hotel?

 

Depends on what you like to see/do. All along Ashford Ave. there are a variety of shops and restaurants. Your not too far from a Walgreens. A short walk towards OSJ there is a nice park by the La Concha Resort. We stayed across from the park years ago and felt very safe. Lots of police patrolling the park. We will be staying at the Best Western Palms right by you in December.

we stayed here pre and post cruise in 2011. It is right on the beach. Go to the roof top at night, beautiful! It is walking to all of Condodo and the bus is easy to catch to go to old San Juan. On a Sunday morning we found a farmers market near there, can't remember exactly where but it was a block off the beach near the hotel that has the clam shell. If you go to the beach walk off to the left, where the beach kind of ends, you can walk out to a sidewalk that juts out a bit. It is closed when the tide is higher and the waves crash over it.

Having stayed there, I would suggest you watch your credit card closely.
