Yes it has, and yes we did although we found that it was not always open at dinner time; somewhat odd?

That is a bit odd. Are the "open" times posted in the Fun Times? I've seen on other posts about the Taste Bar that the bar closest to it will often have a drink special to pair with whatever is being served. Do you know if that's true?

I do not recall seeing the open-times listed in the fun times but believe that the taste-bar was not open on port days and that there was no drink special. Sushi on the other-hand could be ordered in the MDR.

Hey Shotojuku, 2 quick questions...I should know this as I just sailed on her this year, but never needed it!! Do you know where the laundry facilities are on the ship? We'll be in Miami for 5 days prior to cruise and will have to do some.

Also, the taste bar, I think they changed that since I was on, but is it right outside of the casino in the corner there? Before going out to the atrium hallway? I remember seeing something there, but it wasn't open often at all.

Thanks!!

There's always the Paradise this coming April, 2014!!! :D

We originally booked the same itinerary for the 4th of november and booked it on the 2nd of november! But same day, started packing an couldn't find my daughter's birth certificate! So called back carnival and they were able to switch it to the 18th. After booking a LITERALLY last minute cruise, and then having to wait I thought I was going to die of anticipation. Still here though... So I guess I made it! LOL

My question: Do the inside staterooms have a fridge? And if they don't, can you get one for medicine?

Glad to hear that your trip was not a washout!! As for a fridge in the inside stateroom - no; I'm not sure on if you would be able to get one either?

Yes, you can get a fridge for medications if your stateroom doesn't have one by contacting Guest Services onboard. They don't have all that many, so do it as soon as you board. (We didn't get to the point of requesting one, so we don't know if they charge for it or how much.)

I assume you could request one in advance through Carnival, too.

Carnival.com says "yes"!

Carnival.com -> Explore -> Dining -> Sea Day Brunch -> Ecstacy IS listed.

How was Little Stirrup Cay (aka CocoCay) as an alternate private-island stop?

I think this is the first time I've heard of Carnival using LSC as a "makeup" port for a scheduled, but missed, port.

Kudos to Carnival for being able to work it out on short notice with RCCL.

Little Stirrup Cay is owned by NCL not RCI - NCL rents it out to other cruise lines (MSC for instance) when their own ships are not in port. NCL seems to run less ships from Florida now so they rent it out to other cruiselines

CocoCay is owned by RCI - the two "private islands" are in viewing distance of each other....hth

Sorry, you're incorrect.

NCL owns Great Stirrup Cay, not Little Stirrup Cay. LSC aka CocoCay IS owned by Royal Caribbean and, in a deal that's almost as unlikely as the U.S. jumping into bed with Iran (oh...wait), RCCL has been allowing CCL to use LSC as an alternate to Key West since access has been reduced to the Navy pier there.

They ARE quite close together, though.
