Hi

I will be at St-Martin at mid-December and i'm looking for a place where we can have a "all included" day pass (lunch, drinks, beach, etc...).

I would like to snorkle but it's not a must....

Any place you could recommend me ?

Thanks in advance

Hi

I ended up at Orient Beach. The beach is long but not deep. We did rent chair and umbrella at Orange Fever for 7$ (1 drink included). The beach was very very crowed and every chair was stick to each other (less than 1 feet between chair...).

Lot of people try to sell things... a LOt of people... hard to relax....

Happy to went there but i wouldn't go again... at least not that place... maybe further is nice (I hope so...).....

Now for day pass, here what I found and the answer I receive

-Radisson Blu Resort Marina & Spa, St. Martin ( http://www.radissonblu.com/resort-stmartin )

Thank you for your email and the request to spend some time at our property

We do sell day passes which include the use of the beach and pool facilities, towels and WIFI if needed.

That cost for the day is 40 euros per person

We have a nice seaside restaurant if you wish to have lunch .

The cost of the taxi from Philipsburg is US $ 30/35 for the drive

Please let me know

Have a great day !

-La Samana ( http://www.lasamanna.com/web/omar/francais-hotel-la-samanna.jsp?pageNo=1 )

Thank you for your email and greetings from La Samanna! We have a Landing at La Samanna package, which includes the day use of a Deluxe Ocean View Room from 9am to 5pm, lunch for two, and use of the beach, pools, and fitness center. The rates and availability for this package are based on occupancy, and this cannot be confirmed until two weeks prior to your expected arrival date. You can certainly check back with us at that time, and we will be happy to check availability for you.

The day pass is $475 plus 15% tax. In regards to distance from the port, it depends on which port you are coming into. Honestly though, the island is not that large, so nowhere is usually more than 30 minutes away, typically.

-Divi Little Bay Beach Resort ( http://www.divilittlebay.com/DiviLittleBay/ )

You are more than welcome to visit Divi Little Bay while in St. Maarten!

The beach, restaurants, and water sports department at Divi Little Bay are open to public access all day every day. However, only guests staying at the resort are allowed to use the pools and hot tubs.

The beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent daily at the activities hut. The cost is $5.00 for each item.

The resort is approximately 2 miles from the cruise ship port. You may choose to rent a vehicle or take a taxi for approximately $5 per person. Parking is $10 per vehicle.

You will simply “check-in” with the Front Desk upon arrival at the resort.

I have attached a list of activities offered at the resort. Please keep in mind that these amenities are based on availability and prices are subject to change.

-Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino

Thank you for your email. The Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort does not offer Day Passes. However, our Flagship Property on the island, the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino does!

The Day passes can be purchased on property for $65 per person. The Day Passes are good for the following Terms:

**7 am from 5pm

**Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included.

**All Beverages (alcoholic and Nonalcoholic) are included.

**Guest can have full access to the Pools, spa and Property.

A Taxi is the Best way to get from the Port to the hotel. The taxis will be available at the Port to take you to the property. Please let me know if you have questions.

Does anyone know cab prices to Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino? Thinking about going here, any info would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that we paid $22 for the two of us when we taxied to the Sonesto from the pier last summer. We did have 2 pieces of luggage so I am not if they charged us a dollar for each bag. From the port to Maho beach is $20 for the first and second passenger and $9 pp for passengers 3-5 and $8 pp for 6-14 passengers each way.

I inquired about this pass in person in the summer. I didn't think it was worth the money because you have to leave so early from that part of the island because of traffic and bridge openings.

Just sent another email directly to the hotel and sounds like actually do have day passes but you can't reserve in advance - more like if available on that day - cost is $65 plus 21% tax - 9 am - 5 pm- includes use of property and food (trying to confirm now if drinks are included as well).

Hoping it will not be as crowded as some of the other spots on the island and that we can see the planes from there? If we do go you are correct in that we will have to plan to leave early to make sure we get back in time (4 pm?).....

Your ship leaves at 5 so 4:30 is the likely all aboard time. If you leave by 3 you should be fine.

To be honest spending $22 pp for a taxi plus $78 for lunch and drinks plus the use of a pool and just ok food seems way too pricey to me. For $200 per couple I can think of many other places and things to do. The Maho Sonesta is a busy resort. It is one of the very few completely AI vacations on the island and this appeals to many people.

Agreed - I really really want to go to Orient and hang out there for a while - last time there only had a couple of hours. I have been to st martin a few times and have seen the planes but my travel buddies have not so hoping we can experience that as well - but if not - no big deal! :)

The two beaches that you want to visit are like no others on the island as you know. Sometimes substitutions can be made but there is only one Orient and one Maho. Makes for a difficult choice for sure.

If you check the plane schedule maybe you will get lucky and there will be a big jet in around 11 on your day. If that's the case head to Maho first and taxi over to Orient after that. If you get to Orient around noon and stay until 3:30 that should work.

The other way around will leave you little time at Orient. If you get to Orient by 10 and stay for 2 hours and leave at 12 then get to Maho by 1 you would need to leave Maho by 3 at the very latest. I would check on here to see just how the new lagoon bridge opening time (3) and the new causeway bridge are affecting the traffic flow from this notoriously slow route.

Thanks for the timing help.....we dock at 7 am - so we would hope to be at Orient beach before 10 am! maybe by 8:30 or 9 at the latest - and we are not 'huge 'sun worshippers and I am the one wanting to jump waves and splash around in the water - so I figure by noon we will be out of there? Unless we are LOVING IT! If we want to stay we will - otherwise we will head over to Sunset Beach bar (lunch?)...and see if we can grab some seats - I suspect with 7 ships in port seating will be very limited.....and the place will be packed and service would be slow?

We would stay for as long as we could then grab a cab back to port (2:30 - 3 pm?).....Again if we don't get to Maho not a big deal as both travel buddies will be visiting SXM at some point in the near future....so I guess they can catch the 'leftovers' at that time? :)
