tender in Cabo San Lucas

We will be on the Carnival Miracle Dec. 29 and in Cabo 2 days. We've booked excursions first thing each of these days independently. They are "private" tours so it will be just our family of 4, but we are supposed to start them soon after the ship is in port. What is the process for getting a tender? Tender tickets? If I tell them we have excursions booked do we get priority or not since we didn't book through the cruise line. How early do I need to be waiting before they hand out the tickets and do we all need to wait (hubby and boys ages 10 & 6). Any advice is appreciated!

When we went to Cabo, we had to get a numbered sticker and wait until they called our number to start tendering. Since your tour isn't through the ship, they won't give you any priority. The best thing to do would be get there early (there should be an announcement when they will begin) and get a low number (for us the stickers were handed out at the covered pool on lido). I think only one person needed to retrieve the stickers. If you are going with one of the certified private tour guides, they will just be waiting for you if you have a reservation, and it shouldn't be a problem if you are delayed. Other tours or excursions with a set departure time may/will probably leave without you though.

The first day in Cabo definitely has a longer line of people for the tender first thing in the morning so I agree with the previous poster...get there EARLY. The second morning hasn't been a problem for us either time we've done this itinerary, there was virtually no waiting for the tender. That is just our experience though.

Tried to get the faster to the fun pass, but they are sold out! Does anyone know how soon before the tenders start running that they hand out the tickets? Thanks!

Keep checking for FTTF, spots may be added (I nabbed one after a week of random checking).

There will be info in the Fun Times where to go and when for tender tickets, just go there 30 mins before. Usually someone is there and you will get your tickets. Only one person has to go get the tickets for your whole group.

The tenders are really fast and you are really close to shore so it's a quick ride.

We just got back last week (Nov. 10th) from a b2b Hawaii & the Mexican Riviera on the Miracle.

Day 1 in Cabo, if you had an excursion (thru the ship) you needed to meet in the Phantom Lounge to get in line to tender according to your excursion time. Otherwise you picked up a ticket beginning at 7 or 8 (I forget which) at the future cruise desk outside the casino. And then they started calling numbers after the excursion folks had gone ashore. We had 5 tender boats going and forth - round trip 15 or 20 minutes.

Day 2, they didn't even have us pick up a ticket. Just head to tender deck (A Forward) and go when you needed/wanted to.

If you are still looking for an excursion in Cabo, Salsa & Salsa was GREAT. We really enjoyed it. The ship is is so easy to navigate, just he right size. You'll really enjoy it. BTW, the pizza is wonderful!

I hope your enjoy your trip.

Make sure that you understand that Cabo is 1 hr ahead of PST. Somtimes the ship will not adjust clocks in Cabo and wait till PV. At that point ships time is 1hr behind PV time. Check the daily newsletter that way you won't miss your excursions. Have fun. We head there in Feb however we are glad our 2 day port call is in PV.
